St. John’s Episcopal Church is an extended family of loving people bound by our faith in Jesus Christ. We seek to deepen our relationship with God, support one another, strengthen our faith community, and serve our neighbors. All are welcome!
We are located off of I-70 (40), America's Main Street, in Abilene, Kansas on the southeast corner of Buckeye Avenue (Hwy 15) and N. 6th Street. Look for the church with the red doors.
* The Season of Pentecost is sometimes referred to as "Ordinary Time" not because it is unremarkable but because the Sundays are "ordered" as in First Sunday After Pentecost, Second Sunday After Pentecost, etc.
Holy Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday service at 10:00 AM. All are invited to Christ's table for communion.
Sunday School and a nursery are offered at the same time as the service.
Hospitality and fellowship in the undercroft (otherwise known as the church basement) follow the service.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome to be a part of our parish life by joining us in worship and service to the God of life and love.
